In a bid to commerce on Hoonigan’s reputation, Wheel Pros – another company which owned a selection of car wheel brands, and was itself owned by personal fairness agency Clearlake Capital – merged with the brand in September 2021. Continental reiterated that the brake system may be replaced if such impairment is detected — but added that it expects “only a small proportion” of the brake systems it delivered to really want a substitute. The firm said it had built accruals in a “mid-double digit million euro area” to cover guarantee costs.
